Who can make subtitles on gifs? I hear Cable's lines while Deadpool is ignoring him in the video game. Wade screams to the Player, "Make. It. Stop!"Meanwhile, Cable is saying, "... No, that doesn't make any sense... LIFE doesn't make sense. You know, Wade, when you look at me you see a fierce warrior and any day I could die... It makes for sad days, cruel and empty... I was hoping you could fill the void. My void. Fill my void, Wade. Please. Say something. Anything."*Deadpool shoots himself*
Putting this up. If any of the followers does gifs… Sadly there’s not much of Cable/Deadpool material to gif.
For years there’s been rainstorms obstructing the clarity of Deadpool’s sexuality but last night the skies cleared when current author Gerry Duggan confirmed Deadpool’s pansexuality on twitter.
I AM SO HAPPY
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne have always insisted: Directioners are not crazy—and they’re not to be ignored. In interview after interview over the past three years, usually surrounded by thousands of screaming young women, the band has politely corrected reporters who characterize their followers as “insane” or “deranged.” “We prefer ‘passionate,’” they’ll demur. “Or ‘dedicated.’”
There’s more to this than semantics. Possibly you don’t realize how radical it is to see five guys treat young women with respect, and to demand that others do so as well, but it is. In a world where “fangirl” and “groupie” are routinely used to put down women who are enthusiastic about anything, One Direction stands in shocking contrast to their peers and to the culture as a whole.
Women need to make their own spaces as fans in a culture where most media ignores, sexualizes, trivializes, or attacks them—particularly women of color. Women control the budgets of fandom, buying 80% of sports clothing, and nearly 2/3rds of all books; women account for the majority of spending online; women are more likely to share and create online. The majority of fan fiction is written by women, putting ourselves and our stories into the worlds that we love. We change worlds, or try to, so that we can be heard. We scream and cry sometimes when we love things, like loving five guys who listen to us. But we’re not crazy—we’re just excited."
Reblogging because these great quotes today:
"I think at that age you are passionate about everything. [If] you remember your first girlfriend at school when you’re 13, you convince yourself that you love her. I think looking in, not everyone can understand it but to that girl or that boy it might be the most important thing in the world. Just because you don’t understand it, doesn’t mean you can say it’s crazy."
"They are so dedicated…our fans put us where we are. I don’t think it’s something that should be taken as a negative, I think passion’s good in any form."
headcanon that modern day Grantaire taught himself how to play guitar and he isn’t half bad at singing and Combeferre is really good at singing and one day Enjolras gets to the Musain a little earlier than usual and he hears music coming from the back room so he goes to investigate and finds Grantaire and Combeferre harmonizing and it’s basically the best thing ever and in the space of one minute he’s fallen in love with both of them
lmao no one is “shaming” artists for their white cecils like if you think “shaming” means PoC simply asking fandom as a whole to just consider WHY so many people draw him white, you need to take a seat ffs
no one’s saying you can’t draw white cecil, all we’re saying is think about why that version is so common** and maybe give some thought to why PoC in fandom are so uncomfortable with it. think. that is literally it. keep drawing him if you want to but don’t attack PoC who express their concerns about it, jfc (which is something I have seen happening a LOT lately)
**the answers include:
- white-centric ideals (of what is attractive, of what the average US person looks like, of someone “sounding white” (biggest bullshit ever btw), etc) imposed on society are gonna effect how you think
- it is important to realize that those ideas are incorrect and based on a system of racism throughout history
- also: yes cecil’s voice actor is white but kevin’s voice actor is black and their characters are p much identical in canon so what’s your point
artists aren’t exempt from problematic behavior and if we exhibit it, we should be criticized just like everyone else because ~creativity~ doesn’t take priority over the real issues of living breathing PoC
i’m also putting this on my art blog because i know some jerk is gonna say “ooh why don’t you draw some PoC cecil YOURSELF instead of arguing” which is
- derailing bullshit because you don’t have to be an artist to criticize art or racism
- dismissing the efforts of PoC who already do everything we can to generate works in different mediums anyway, because you are automatically assuming we aren’t doing anything
- basically telling PoC to shut up about their very valid concerns and go play in the corner like good little nonthreatening side characters and THAT kids, is REAL censorship of expression and opinions which PoC already face every single day
- essentially patronizing bullshit because how is anything going to change if we don’t talk about it? are you gonna wish on a falling star for racism to be solved or are you gonna talk about it like an adult who’s not a giant asshole
(anyway white-centric thinking is really insidious because I drew a white cecil at first for pretty much no reason, like I just defaulted to it? and once I actually thought about it, it was disturbing because I’m not white and I live in the kinda southwest US just like cecil and there aren’t nearly as many white people as you would assume meaning yes, there’s lots of PoC)
When she looked into it, she found herself holding her childrens birth certificates, and all of their names weren’t shitty
You are trying to tell me what you think of me or my choices, but let’s face facts; I couldn’t give a flying fuck about your opinion.
Welcome to Night Vale
